In this primer, Andy introduces a key component that he will build on over the years, that:
Word of mouth is the Best form of marketing, always has been, and especially in the digital / social / sharing / review landscape
Word of mouth comes from repeat, loyal, lifetime customers
This can be referred to as micro-marketing, and there is only 1 task.
Help People. Get Results. Period.
Give someone who walks into your ‘store’ (or website for service businesses such as architecture, or especially in person), the most education they need to solve their problem possible, for the least possible cost to them.
Then they will come to trust you, over time.
Then they will come back.
Then they will market for you via word of mouth.

Andy tells a story of how he was so anti-apple, and his PC had broken down and he happens to go into an apple store - all defences up.
It is a great anecdote for Architects (the Apple of construction, much more expensive, bespoke, niche, smaller market etc.)
It was in the sales process of the Apple employee relating, I used to have a PC, this frustrated me, heres ways to fix it, but the way heres ways Apple can easily fix those frustrations.
