Win The Day
MFCEO 009 Kill It Every Day
There are 2 foundational episodes within the MFCEO Project on which all others build. This is the 1st. These are my notes on from my initial listen, and revisited notes with expanded understanding will be added over the years.
Success is simple.
It consists of Winning the Day, one day at a time, consistently, over a very long period.
The challenge becomes:
Defining what a ‘day won’ looks like for you and your goals
Creating a system to ensure you win each day - every day
The What: Defining Winning the Day
Your huge vision, and the milestone goals that make up that vision, need to be reverse engineered into action plans to reach each.
These may contain new fitness goals, breaking bad habits, moving your business towards business gaols. The system is rock solid for each.
To win each day, you simply name 5 critical tasks
All 5 must be completed before you go to bed each day
If you complete all 5 - put a W on the bottom of your list - you have WON the day
If you complete 3, 4, 2…. - put a L on the bottom of your list - you have lost the day.
At the end of each week, you simply tally up each day.
7 x Wins - you’ve won the week. 4 x Wins and 3 Losses - you’ve still won the week.
3+ weekly wins per month - you’ve won the month
7 + monthly wins per year - you’ve won the year.
People who win years - are by statistical definition winners.
There is a ton of scientific habit forming, psychological, self motivation, momentum building, optimism building and other benefits built into this system that will be built upon through later episodes

The How: Executing your Critical Tasks
Get them done. Get them done early. Get them done first.
Ideal: 5am to 9am. Critical’s complete. Day done.
Andy paraphrases Tony Robbins: Your success is in direct proportion to the amount of discomfort you can live with… then doing the work anyway.
An entrepreneurial life involves living with uncertainty, which is why it is so essential that you commit to what you can control.
Ben paraphrases an anecdote on how some Navy Seals ‘ring the bell’ to quit after 15 minutes in cold ocean water. But then further down the very same beach, children who grew up in the area, happily play in that ocean their whole lives.
It’s all about perspective. ‘Hard’ is mostly in your mind.
When you complete something hard - doubt is replaced by belief. Then you are unstoppable.
(This has been completely PROVEN through my own personal experience after completing Andy’s 75 Hard then Live Hard program - yet to be invented at this point in the MFCEO Project)

The Why: Win the Day, Win your Life
Never again take the path of least resistance. Go to the hard. Make it work.
The Discipline of this system does incredible things for you.
The Momentum of completing each day gifts you a new habit.
This will result in calm, internal Belief that you are in control of your path.
Work Hard. Gain Results. See Results. Enjoy Results. Eliminate Doubt.
Belief - true internal belief - through the elimination of self-doubt will actually manifest your dreams in reality in combination with hard work.
You have to believe BEFORE you start doing the work, or you WON’T start doing the work.
Evolving your Critical Tasks
Critical tasks are NOT the basics. They are NOT your to do list. NOT email. NOT project work.
They ARE critical tasks to advancing your business or personal goals.
Meeting a new client. Setting up a system. Working on you business not in your business - these are critical tasks.
Working Out, running outdoors, sticking to your diet, no alcohol etc - these are critical personal tasks.
The important thing is this. Once any repetitive daily new habit, say sticking to a diet, writing as blog post a day to build your audience, etc, has been completed for 21 days straight - with no missed day in the streak- you remove it from your critical task list to free up a slot.
You must self monitor as to wether this habit keeps up daily once off the list, if it falls away, put it back on. This is why accountability - to yourself - is so important. This is the statistical method to personal and business growth.
If you have an important business meeting booked in the future, put it in a slot.
Essential to the system working is to only limit it to 5. No more, no less.
If you put on 20, you may get it one day, then 8, then 3. The point is developing your internal belief in yourself, if you look back on those days you will see W, L, L, L… and lose motivation. Square 1.
This is it. 5 critical tasks. Then do them.
This is your moment to stop being a talker and start being an action taker.
Remember, there is no such thing as Luck.
Luck is simply opportunity, opportunity that has been executed on.
This is your Opportunity. Act Now.
